Are You Ready to Stand in Your Power and Change Your Life?

Long before the word `empowerment’  became popular, women were speaking about gaining control over their lives and participating in making the decisions that affect them in home and community, in government and international development policies. But the problem is, very few have a clear conception of empowerment. This is very easy to say but difficult to understand.  

Standing in your power can often be considered an overused statement. It is not meant to be construed as living your life with a "win at all costs" mentality. Standing in your power means to develop the strength to be seen and heard as the individual you are, letting go of looking to others to define who you are or who you are not.  You stop wasting your time worrying about what others think of you. You value yourself from a real place of self-love.

When you live outside that principal, you are giving away your power. Why are you doing it?

The most common issues behind fearing your own personal power are many:

*   Childhood trauma or abuse

*   Being in verbally/physically abusive relationships

*   Lack of self-esteem

*   Male Patriarchy in the workplace and/or home
